When you’ve been out camping this summer—whether you’ve been in a tent, a cabin, or an RV—chances are you’ve probably had a moment where you wished you had a solar generator. From charging up camera batteries, phones, speakers, and laptops to powering appliances like coffee makers, kettles, portable air conditioners, and blenders, a solar generator makes for a trusty companion. And Jackery, a trusted name in the solar generator space, just announced the launch of three new solar generators to its Plus series.
On September 1, Jackery will release the Solar Generator Explorer 300 Plus and 1000 Plus on its website and on Amazon. Right now, you can pre-order the 300 Plus on both sites. Then on September 26, the 700 Plus will launch over on Newegg.

If you’re looking into your first solar generator, consider starting with the 300 Plus. I briefly tested this model, and I immediately appreciated how easy it was to use. After taking it out of its packaging, I could turn it on, plug in both my phone and laptop, and charge them to full capacity.
Out of the box, the generator had 31 percent power, and after charging my phone and laptop all the way up simultaneously, it was only down 6 percent. (Note: The 300 Plus has a 288-watt-hour (Wh) capacity and features a 120-volt AC outlet with a 300-watt output, as well as a USB-A port with a 15-watt output and two USB-C ports with a 100-watt output.) Plus, this generator also has an LED on the side of the display that shines either steady or flashing lights based on your preference.

That said, if you want to power larger devices and appliances during your trip, the 700 Plus or the 1000 Plus would be better. The 700 Plus packs a capacity of 680 Wh, making it a good middle ground between the 300 Plus and 1000 Plus.
The 1000 Plus is the one to choose if you want serious power, given that its capacity is 1,264 Wh, but you can bump that up to 5,056 Wh when you pair it with Jackery’s battery packs. Two 100-watt solar panels are also included when you pick up the 1000 Plus, while a 40-watt panel will accompany your purchase of the 300 Plus.
We’ve recommended more than a few Jackery solar generators and portable power stations previously, including the predecessor to these new releases, the 2000 Plus. So, if you’re looking for a solar generator to bring along on your fall camping trips, the newest members of the Plus series offer a range of power capacities and sizes to fit your needs.
